Who Are We?

The Fremantle Phantoms is a Masters football club competing in the AFL Masters WA metro competition.

We are a veterans club for men over the age of 33 plus, of all abilities and experience.

Whether you've player 100 games of league footy or never kicked a ball in competition, all are welcome at the Phantoms.

Our season runs from April through to mid September, playing a game every two weeks in a 10 round competition including a country carnival mid year.

Masters footy is modified AFL rules, ensuring all types can play without the worry of injury or lack of ability.

The cub has three sides in the Metro competition and trains every Wednesday at our home ground Gil Fraser Reserves in North Fremantle.

Anyone and everyone is welcome at the Phantoms. We pride ourselves on club first standing strong by our four core values:

  • We promote the Masters Australian Football mantra of "Footy for Kicks";

  • We enjoy the spirit and passion of competition, but we leave what happens on the field, on the field.

  • We don't question umpiring decisions;

  • We actively acknowledge good play from within our team and by opposition players;

  • We embrace diversity of player race, nationality and age;

  • We honour our history because it gives us depth and tradition.

  • We actively encourage family participation and support on game days and at social functions;

  • We acknowledge and support players that have family commitments conflicting with training and matches;

  • We train and play in the knowledge that keeping fit is the key to a longer, healthier life

  • We aspire to be known as a strong, proud and professional club;

  • We continually aim to grow the club membership and the quality of the facilities and equipment;

  • We aim to give something back to the community by supporting charitable organisations.
