What a magnificent end to a magnificent year.
The final siren has sounded on the 2019 season, that the Fremantle Phantoms farewelled in style.
On a beautiful spring day at UWA sports park, both sides did their club proud and finished a fine year with two solid performances.
The seniors got the chocolates in the early game, finishing 2019 undefeated. A performance that cannot be overlooked and should be remembered with pride for years to come for all those involved.
The colts, as they have done for the past two months, came home with a wet sail notching another memorable performance against Rockingham to make it 4 wins from the last 4 starts.
For a developing side with some many new faces in 2019, the Supers team has grown considerably over the season, inspired by their elder statesmen in the Seniors side no doubt.
So that’s it for 2019, on the park at least.
Now the real play begins. Starting with MAD Friday this week at the National from 5:30pm where the beers will be flowing hopefully as much as the Geelong tears as West Coast send out the Cats in straight sets.
We’ll have our own corner as usual, the club will put some $ on and the footy will be on the big screen. Time to get mad.
